Build it.

Custom printed wallpaper, in-set hex tile in concrete slab, imported Japanese roof tiles, and custom-built light fixtures made for a unique and dynamic design. Photo by Jeri Koegel.

Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake in Aarcadia California at Westfield Santa Anita, was the first location in the continental U.S.

Working with the AO Restaurant Interior Design Studio, with Senior Designer Ruba Younan, we developed the first prototype concept. I worked on developing the interior design and created the 3D models for the project concept.

The design features a vibrant-yellow Solid Surface, wood tile at the bar and wall, with a heat-infused vinyl logo application,, and authentic Japanese roof tile. A Fireclay glass-tile mixture of different finishes was used at the backwall to create interesting texture.
